The Pre-Wired Conduit Company Ltd, TPWCC, is the leading manufacturer and supplier of fully tested and approved cables to BS 8436, Flexishield®, to the UK Electrical contracting industry.

During the past four years TPWCC has seen substantial growing demand for Flexishield cables, in order to service this demand the company has now set up a new dedicated manufacturing plant, based in the Midlands, it aims to continue to supply a high quality cable synonymous with Flexishield as proven over the years. Flexishield is a protected fixed wiring cable, typically used in partition walls and building voids, in accordance with the British Standard BS8436 as called up in the 17th Edition of the UK Wiring Regulations BS7671:2008.

Flexishield’s metallic barrier helps to reduce the effects of electrical interference, meeting the NHS’s directive HTM2007 Section 11.43, as successfully demonstrated in one of the largest Procure 21 projects, Broadgreen Hospital in Liverpool. The cable can also be used for many applications, making it a multi-purpose fixed wiring cable.

Whilst offering a first class technical solution to fixing wiring applications, Flexishield reduces the installation times by 40%+ and corresponding costs compared to traditional installation methods such as singles in conduit and SWA cables.
 

Flexishield is now Manufactured under BASEC quality management ISO 9001:2008 system QMS Certification- including Enhanced Quality Management Systems for Product related functions

Whilst TPWCC’s manufacturing plant is focused on the production of the Flexishield range, the company has the capability of producing the following types of cables:

Unarmoured, instrument and control cables, airfield lighting, track side cables. Multi core cables in a variety of materials for low smoke, moisture and solvent applications.

Other general services can be offered such as over sheathing, etc.
